Mentorship

The mentorship program is a system offered to our members where they can receive guidance from individuals who have experience in the process of pursuing optometry as an undergraduate student at UCLA, as well as later become mentors themselves. An applicant would be paired with an upperclassman student that has gone through the process of being pre-optometry at UCLA, as well as a post-graduate student that is either taking a gap year, is currently in optometry school, or is already an optometrist. This program offers valuable insight in professional development, how to stand out as an applicant for optometry schools, and to lend any advice about this career in general. Our mentors are so generous with their time and efforts, and countless members found this program incredibly valuable to their optometric journey. This program offers a more one-on-one setting to receive individualized guidance in a more personal manner.
