PRE-OPTOMETRY SOCIETY

The family system is offered to our members as a way to create and strengthen the relationships within our organization. Though we are a first a professional club, we still care about our members, and want to create a community where we connect on a more personal level. This system groups applicants into “families”, with a family head being a member of Pre-Optometry Society that has shown exemplary commitment and dedication. These families meet in a more casual setting that is conducive for more relaxed conversation. The purpose is to get to know each other outside of a professional context, and to strengthen the community of our organization. These meetings can range from having a movie night in an apartment to grabbing a meal on campus to exploring the sights of Los Angeles. This is a low commitment way to get to know the members of our organization and to connect on a personal level.
